West Nile Virus (WNV) is a viral disease transmitted by mosquitoes which can infect humans, birds, horses, and some other animals.
Although 80% of infected individuals don’t have any symptoms, the other 20% frequently present with just fever and viral symptoms. WNV may result in more severe CNS involvement including meningitis, encephalitis & poliomyelitis.
