The Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center is staffed with toxicologists, industrial hygienists, and chemists with a wide range of experience in evaluating the health consequences of low-level environmental exposures to chemicals in the military environment. The toxicology staff has significant experience participating in community meetings, training sessions, scientific meetings and conferences, regulatory meetings, and senior policy boards. Special projects include work on perchlorates, trichloroethylene, JP-8 jet fuel, diesel fuel, polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons, heavy metals, nerve gas, depleted uranium, dioxins, polychlorinated biphenyls, organophosphate pesticides, and munitions and explosives of concern.
