NPCPHC supports many of the Navy/Marine Corps environmental programs. After a Memorandum of Understanding between the Navy Facilities Engineering Command and the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) was signed, the Environmental Programs Department was established 1991. Since then, we have provided public health related consultative services to the Navy and Marine Corps. In 1995, we gained additional environmental responsibilities when the BUMED Environmental Quality Program was transferred to NMCPHC.
