Disease Surveillance forms the cornerstone of public health.

As the Department of Navy’s surveillance hub, Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center supports these functions in the following manner:

  1. providing program management support for select Navy surveillance and reporting programs including Fleet DNBI, ESSENCE, NDRSi, and VAERS,
  2. facilitating local and regional surveillance activities by providing guidance, data access, and training.
